So I did. What a sublime pleasure this was! I had never thought of it before, but renting an apartment is the best alternative to booking a hotel room because you get the best of being a tourist but at the same time being apart of a community. You start to feel like a real "Parisian". First thing I did to jumpstart this search was to go online to look services or agencies that specialize in these kinds of short term or long term property rentals. I was quite surprised at the results: pages upon pages of matches for just three words: apartment paris rental. Eventually, I decided to go with a service named ApartmentParis, an agency that specializes in Paris apartment rentals vacationers. Their help and expertise was indispensable. They helped me to find the PERFECT Luxury apartment in the centrally located Marais district. On my previous trips, I had visited most of the popular tourist areas: the neighbourhoods centered around the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, St. Germain des Prés, the Louvre, and the Champs-Elysées. I recall looking at some of building thinking: what would it be like to call one of these gracious stately apartments home for a few weeks? I had even visited the Marais, near the Rue de Rivoli and the Hôtel de Ville. I simply LOVED this charming neighbourhood full of both old and modern buildings. I think it was this aspect that struck me the most about this area: the perfect alchemy of old and new, ancient and contemporary. You are very close to some of the most important monuments in French history such as the Hotel de Ville where the shots of the French Revolution were fired, Notre Dame where many royal coronations were held, or the Place des Vosges, what remains of some the most memorable periods of the French aristocracy. So immediately, after my first thought, I contacted Apartmentparis via their easy online request form by logging onto www.apartmentparis.fr with my selections from the user-friendly website. Brice contacted me right away and was able to very convincingly answer all my questions. We confirmed my Paris vacation apartment rental. I was immediately at ease and was able to feel confident about putting my trust in them after talking to the very congenial representative. When I arrived in Paris and entered the apartment, I knew that I had made the right choice. I was steps away from all the monuments I wanted to see, a stone's throw from many trendy restaurants and bars, and minutes from fabulous affordable shopping. I couldn't have been happier with my decision to stay in the Marais. What a outstanding trip!
